MIGUEL LORENZO AGUILAR went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 7th, 2020.

Miguel Lorenzo Aguilar was born on January 31st, 1948 in El Paso, Texas. He was the eldest son of Carmen Aguilar and Lorenzo Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Francisca C. Aguilar and his children, Veronica Marroquin and daughter Isabella Fichter; Cynthia Aguilar Rosas and children, Arianna Nicole Rosas and her son, Santiago N. Miller and Andre Nicholas Rosas; Melissa Aguilar and her son, Benjamin Aguilar De La Torre and Maria G. Alegria.

He is survived by his siblings; Armando Garcia and his wife Maria, Argelia Gonzalez and her husband Baldemar, Raul Garcia and his wife Alcira, Hector Garcia and his wife Inocencia plus numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Clara, Sylvia and Martha, and granddaughter, Victoria.

Miguel grew up in Reynosa, Tamps. and the Rio Grande Valley. He attended Edinburg High School in Edinburg, Texas. He worked hard at an early age, going with his mother to pick oranges and asparagus as migrant farmers in Florida. Ultimately, he spent most of his life working proudly as a mechanic at his shop, Miguel’s Auto Service in Houston, Texas. He was an avid lover of all things Coca-Cola and Elvis. He was an ardent sports fan who cheered for the Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

    I along with a lot of our cousins, would agree that Tio was a generous man and would always give us dollars, every time we visited his mechanic shop. He cussed like a sailor but it was always with love. Thank you for teaching me so many Spanish cuss words and always being so kind. You will be missed dearly.
