Agatha Dorothea Gandara, a long time resident of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2020.

She was born on March 8, 1930 in Brackettville, Texas. She was 90 years old.

She is survived by her daughter, Norma Jean Gandara-Eastham, son-in-law, Bryan Eastham, and her two precious grandsons, Jeremy Keoni Eastham and Kristopher Brandon Eastham, all from Houston, Texas.

She is also survived by her sister Jessie Castro, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in her death by her husband Marcelo Gregory Gandara; her daughter Virginia Grace Gandara; her parents, Agatho Castro and Tranquilina Olvera-Castro; brothers: Agatho Castro, Jr., Martin Castro, Gene Joe Castro, Abraham Castro, Lionel Castro, and William Castro; and sisters: Antonette Wren, Lillian Warren, Virginia Garcia, and Josephine Romo.

She was a very loving and proud mother and grandmother and her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, especially with her grandsons. She shared a lot of love with her family and she was loved very much by them.

She will be dearly missed more than words can express.

A private memorial service will be held at Houston Memorial Gardens on Saturday, October 3, 2020.
