Florinda Cortinas Ramirez was a caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and friend. She was called by the Lord on the late hours of July 11, 2021. She was born to Policarpio and Adelina Cortinas on February 18, 1942 in Brownsville, Texas. In 1961, she married Juan Jose Ramirez Sr. and shared a life with him for 60 years.
Florinda was very loving, selfless, brave, compassionate, generous and admired by all. Florinda loved to share her wisdom of life and give her best advice to everyone. She was very strong in her Faith and loved and valued her family above all else. She had a heart of gold and her presence, love and encouragement will be greatly missed. She is joined in eternal glory with her parents, brothers and sister, Hermelindo, Maria Concepcion, Roberto, Jose, Filiberto and Fernando Cortinas, her beloved grandson, Nicholas Andrew Solis and several members of her extended family. She is survived by her husband, Juan Jose Ramirez Sr., her beloved children, Juan Jose Ramirez Jr., Cristina Rivera, Veronica Ramirez and Isabel Ramirez, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, her beloved nieces and nephews with their families.

    I am very sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I remember her kindness and helpfulness to others well. Take care in knowing she will be in heaven and watching over all of you. She will be greatly missed by all.
