Jo Ann Cruz
February 27, 1966 – April 19, 2022

Jo Ann Cruz was a great wife, a wonderful mother, an amazing daughter, a loving sister, and a loyal friend. Jo Ann was always the one you could count on no matter the situation. She would be the life of the party in her younger years. A fighter, one to never give up. It was her way or no way. Jo Ann was very headstrong and not one to mess with. Especially when it came to her children. Regardless of the choices or mistakes they may have made, she was at their side. She was outspoken and would not hold her tongue or sugar-coat anything for anyone. If you ever needed help, she was the one you could go to and count on. We all loved how caring and loving she was. Some would say as the years passed, she distanced herself from family and friends. But regardless, she was there for them if they needed her. Illness is something no one is prepared for and this is the case with Jo Ann. Some say God puts his strongest soldiers through the toughest battles. And that was proven to be true as we all witnessed her battle. Jo Ann’s last wishes were to be at home surrounded by her children and loved ones. She fought long and hard up until the Lord decided it was time for her to go home. Jo Ann was not alone that day but surrounded by her loved ones that she leaves behind. She is no longer in any pain and suffering because in Heaven that does not exist. Jo Ann is looking down on us filled with joy and smiling as she sees all her loved ones gathered here to remember her.

Jo Ann Cruz is survived by her husband of 34 years, Margarito Torres. Her children: Christopher & wife Veronica, Esabell, Miguel, Jose Margarito, Cristal & husband Manuel, Joann & husband Manuel, Jose Maria & wife Maria, Guadalupe, and Fabien.
