Helen Irene Guillory
December 4, 1938 – June 10, 2022

Helen “Grams” Irene Guillory 1938 – 2022. Helen Irene Guillory, 83, was born in Spade, TX, Lamb County on December 4, 1938, to Roy Thomas Estes and Verna Jewel Dennis Estes Hurt, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, June 10, 2022.  She was 83 years old.  Helen began a long and successful real estate career in 1970. She formed her own company Helen Guillory Real Estate and continued working for 40 plus years. She had a passion for helping others find the perfect home. When you hear of Garden Villas subdivision, you think about Helen Guillory where she lived for over 40 years. In 1958 in Wichita Falls, TX, she married James Guillory and raised three daughters

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Cheri Lee and ex-husband James.  She is survived by her sister, Betty Springer, her brother Sammy Estes and two daughters Betty Lynn Garcia and Carol Ann West whom she was so proud of for all their accomplishments. Grandchildren: Monica Garcia Gilreath (Evan), Carlos Garcia III (Stephanie), Cheri Garcia, Anthony Garcia (Jennifer), Daniel Garcia (Sarah Beth), Aaron West, Amber Creech West (Taylor), Alan West (Taylor), Alex West (Sarah) and Andrew West (Amy). Her loving great-grandchildren whom she treasured and were her pride and joy: Callie West, Cash West, James Henry West, Wyatt West, Nolan West, Benjamin Garcia, Shelby Garcia and Caroline Garcia.  She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

The simple pleasures in life brought the greatest joy to Helen. Family get togethers and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up brought so many proud moments, laughter and many smiles to Helen. Taking, sharing, and looking at pictures were so important to Helen. Pictures were everywhere in her home.

She was known for her compassionate heart, her infectious laughter and her willingness to help others. Foremost was her faith and love studying God’s word and her visits to Israel. Her love for her country was taught to all of us. MAGA!

Please join us celebrating her life on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Viewing is from 2 pm – 3pm with a funeral service beginning at 3pm at Garden Villas Methodist Church (now Mount Carmel Academy – 7155 Ashburn St. 77061) in the Garden Villas subdivision.
