February 5, 1980 – August 22, 2022

Omar E. Chavez was born on February 5, 1980 to Abel Chavez Jr. and Elena San Miguel Gonzales in Chicago, IL. He transitioned into eternal rest on August 22, 2022, in Houston, TX.

He was a great person who lived and loved life to the fullest. He wasn’t scared of anything and if he was, he never showed it. Anyone who ever met him knows that he would be there whenever you needed him to be. Everyone knows different versions of Omar but the common ground is: Love and Loyalty. No matter if he was in Chicago or Houston, he was Home.

If you knew him, then you know. He was a force to be reckoned with and he will truly be missed.

We will post information for his Chicago Service soon.

“A stepparent is so much more than just a parent: they made the choice to love when they didn’t have to.” And for that I will always be thankful for !!! THANK YOU for being the father you didn’t have to be!!!! 🤍🤍 I’m so blessed we got to spend those last moments together that I will cherish forever.
