Maria Oralia Yanes 80, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Her husband of 59 years, and children were by her side at the time of death.

Maria was born June 24,1942 to Josefina Rodriguez Marroquin and Eliezer Marroquin. Maria (Lala) attended school in Mercedes, Texas where she graduated high school followed by business school. Eventually gaining a license in cosmetology and owning her own salon and doing hair for over 20 years. She also worked as a receptionist for Dr’s office’s finishing her career with Pipe Distributors as a receptionist as well, retiring in 2010.

Celebrating life, Maria was always most joyful when surrounded by family and friends. She was very outgoing and friends to many that she met. Her laughter and smile will forever be in our hearts. Comforted by knowing she is rejoicing in heaven with her parents and family in death.

Maria is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Jesus O’Canas Yanes from San Benito, Tx as well as her children Yvette McDonald and spouse Jerry McDonald, Jesus Orlando ( Randy ) Yanes and Yvonne Moorer and spouse Troy Moorer. Four grandchildren, Taylor McDonald, Hunter McDonald, and spouse Bailey McDonald, Colby Moorer and Lauren Moorer. Also surviving is her brother Eliezer (Jesse) Marroquin and spouse Nellie Marroquin a niece, a nephew and numerous cousins and friends.
