Benny Leland Dalton
December 26, 1931 – October 16, 2023

Benny Leland Dalton was born on December 26, 1931 in Asheville, North Carolina. He went to be with the Lord at the age of 91 on October 16, 2023.

He is preceded in death by daughter Sharon Dalton; sister, Alice Hyde; stepson, Robert Keith Wooten along with his parents and four brothers.

He is survived by: his wife, Lee Anna Dalton; daughter, Cindy Keng; spouse, Ken Keng; grandsons, Simon Keng, Keith Lawler, Kent Lawler; stepsons, Ray spouse Elinor, Adrian spouse Marylinda, Glen spouse Charlotte; stepdaughter, Wanda; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ben was PROUD to serve with the Army during the Korean War from 1950 -1953. He was always eager to share hours of stories telling the good and the bad from his time serving. He lived and served PROUDLY!

Ben was a loving husband and devoted to his family. He was always ready to share life with family and friends and even strangers. He enjoyed watching the weather channel, news and NASCAR racing. He loved traveling to the Colorado mountains but the mountains of Asheville, NC were dear to his heart. He maintained a long career as a Meat Market Manager which explained his LOVE of all steaks at any meal. He cherished his dogs Harry, Ewok, Bengy and Cody.

Funeral Service Information

The funeral service will be held at Elim Church, 3200 S. Richey St, Houston, Texas 77017 on October 23rd at 10:00am.

Burial will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, Texas 77075 on October 23rd at noon.

    I am grateful for you pouring into me as a young teenage man giving me direction and Love. You showed me what a man should be.
