Obituary

Sandra “Sandy” Lee Griffin Kasper, age 75, of League City, TX, passed away on December 22, 2023. She was born in Houston, Texas on October 3, 1948, to Roy and Betty LaMerle Griffin. Sandy attended Galena Park High School and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1966. She retired from South Texas College of Law in 2018.

Sandy was extremely passionate about music and politics.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father Roy Griffin, and is survived by her mother, Betty LaMerle Griffin, sister Kerri Brown and husband Glenn, all of Conroe, Texas; children Danice Garland of League City,Texas, son Paul Kasper and his wife Jennifer of Brunswick, GA, Kyle Kasper of League City, Texas; and her grandchildren Taylor, Alex, Miranda, Ansley, and Angelina. She is also survived by her loyal canine companion Snoopie.

I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Sandy closely, but I could tell she was a very passionate, colorful, and caring person. She made a positive impact on the world.     My condolences to the family. Sandy and I went on a few trips to see the singer Clay Aiken. She was so much fun to be around and livened up every group she was around!

    My condolences to the family. I met Sandra at Pyburn Elementary. We remained friends for life. I had not seen her since one of our latest Galena Park reunions. Rest in Peace, sweet friend.

    My deepest condolences to the family, Sandra was one of my supervisors at South Texas College of Law she was always so friendly and helpful and always talked about her sport of football the Texans ! Rest In Peace 🙏
