Jesus O’Canas Yanes 81, passed away Saturday April 27,2024 . Jesus was born September 2, 1942 in San Benito, Texas to Magdalena O’Canas Yanes and Ernesto Yanes. Jesus graduated from San Benito High School where he held many accolades in football, basketball and track. He worked for the Pasadena Postal Services and worked for the Deer Park School district for over 40+ years.

He was devoted to his family and looked forward to seeing his grandchildren attending all of their sporting events cheering them on from the sidelines, traveling all over town sometimes lost but always finding his way there. He was always making us laugh, saying things he wasn’t supposed to. making up jokes, singing songs with his own words, watching the Astros, and of course playing golf.

Jesus is preceded in death by his wife Oralia Marroquin Yanes as well as his brothers Adam Yanes and Joe Yanes. He is survived by his three children Yvette Yanes McDonald and her spouse Jerry McDonald, his son Jesus Orlando Yanes (Randy), and daughter Yvonne Yanes Moorer and spouse Troy Moorer. Four grandchildren, Taylor McDonald, Hunter McDonald and spouse Bailey McDonald, Colby Moorer and Lauren Moorer. Also surviving is his brother David Yanes, and sister Eva Yanes as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
