Debra (Debbie) Ann Zimmerman was an amazing daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left us suddenly on July 4th, 2024 at the age of 68, after a courageous fight against cancer.

Debbie was born to Alvin and Lorraine Crase on January 22, 1956 in Gary, Indiana. She grew up, went to school, and played sports around the Gary area.

She married and welcomed daughter, Brandy Lynn, in Illinois. Soon after she followed her mother to Texas and settled in the Houston area. She soon married again and welcomed daughter, Monica Renee. After many years in the Houston area, she and her mother were finally able to own their own home these last few years.

Through the years she had many job experiences, from electronic repairs, chef, auto repairs, and home improvement repairs. She was a fix it of just about anything and nothing was off limits. She also had two successful businesses with two of her husbands.

Coming from a close knit family, she spent her life loving her family, friends, and those around her. Anyone needing a hand she would never hesitate to open her home for a place to stay or a hot meal. Her last few years were spent caring for those closest to her. She made sure her late husband, brother, and mother had the best care up until their transition to heaven.

We’re forever heart broken with her loss, but know she is now no longer in pain and walking with God and others that went before her.

Please join us for a celebration of her life on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 from 12-4pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 8706 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075. In lieu of flowers please make an honorary donation in Debra’s name to either the American Lung Assoc or the American Cancer Society.
