Louise Roemer passed away peacefully on February 7, 2021. A native Houstonian, she was born on September 28, 1927 on Yale St. in the Houston Heights to Lillian and Ralph Waguespack. She attended All Saints School, Hamilton Junior High, and graduated from Reagan High School. Louise and her husband Paul raised their family in Garden Villas and were among the earliest members of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and by her husband, Paul C. Roemer, Jr., D.D.S. She is survived by her children: Janice Chatham (Virgil), John Roemer, Renee Hall (Gordon), Sharon Winter (Dugald), Patricia Thompson (Bill), and Chris Roemer. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren , as well as her nieces and nephews.

Louise was the center of our family. She was a person who always wore a bright smile and was quick to make friends wherever she went. Throughout her life, Louise displayed extraordinary kindness and gentleness, and she maintained a remarkable sense of optimism and sense of humor.

She will be remembered for her love for her family, her profound faith and dedication to her church, and for her deep devotion to the Blessed Mother.

Louise was our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Louise was one of my mom’s dearest friends, remaining close all the way up to my Mom’s death in August 2018. She was a lovely, sweet, and very classy lady. Rest In Peace, all of you old Mt. Carmel gals.
