October 19, 1938 – July 26, 2021

Ella Mae Ramirez passed July 26, 2021 surrounded by her family. Ella was born October 19, 1938 in Laredo, TX. She loved her family especially her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. She always put family before herself as she was married 61 years. She was extremely devoted to the Catholic Church. Every Sunday she faithfully attended Mass and raised her children in the faith. In her free time, she would venture to her backyard and work on her flowerbeds. She had a green thumb and her yard looked like a magazine. She enjoyed watching musicals. Her wish was to be tall and sing in a nightclub, as her father was a musician. Every Saturday she would go shopping and always came back with several bags. As it warmed her heart to give gifts for special occasions to family and friends. Cannot forget the endless collection of purses she enjoyed.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents Eleazar and Wilhermina Trevino, her brothers Eleazar Trevino Jr, and Eduardo Trevino. She is survived by her husband Hugo Ramirez Sr; her sons Hugo Ramirez Jr.; Rene Ramirez, wife Dianna; her daughter Yvonne Ramirez-Torres; her grandchildren, Leah Torres, Rene Ramirez II and Catherine Ramirez.

Goodbye sweet friend. We had some good times at Ursuline. I still have, and treasure, the little remembrances you sent. All of us in school were so blessed to have one another. Bless you, and see you again someday. Much love.
